Gym and leisure facility cleaning
A repeatable cleaning routine for gyms, studios and leisure facilities where shared equipment, floors and washrooms see constant use.
The commercial brief
Cleaning that fits the building.
Gyms and leisure facilities are used continuously, often by people moving between reception, activity spaces, changing rooms and shared equipment. CQD plans cleaning around the flow of members and staff, identifying the touch points and areas that need reliable daily attention. The specification can balance visible presentation with a practical sequence for floors, studios, kitchens, washrooms and changing areas without making the facility feel closed for cleaning.
The service can cover receptions, studios, gym floors, activity rooms, changing areas, showers, washrooms, staff spaces, kitchens and offices. Tasks may include vacuuming and mopping, surface and touch-point cleaning, bin routines, washroom cleaning and restocking, and machine hard-floor care where the surface requires it. The site assessment records equipment access, wet areas, opening hours, peak periods and safe storage. That detail helps the team work consistently around classes, sessions and member movement.
Members notice the condition of a leisure facility at the points they touch and use: entrance handles, equipment areas, floors, mirrors, showers and washrooms. For the operator, the challenge is maintaining that standard through a busy day while keeping staff focused on members. A dedicated two-person team gives the building continuity and ownership. Supervisor checks and a written specification make it easier to discuss changes when timetable, occupancy or facility use changes.
Bronze, Silver and Gold monthly subscriptions provide the operating framework. Bronze covers daily essentials; Silver adds machine hard-floor cleaning, deeper kitchen and breakroom care and daily touch-point sanitisation; Gold adds daily machine floor cleaning, washroom consumables fulfilment and regular inspection and sign-off. An initial deep clean is included when a new subscription commences. There are no long-term contracts and no TUPE requirement, with 24/7 availability, a 2-hour enquiry response and mobilisation in 5–7 working days.
CQD mobilises within 5–7 working days once the specification is agreed. The same dedicated two-person team becomes familiar with the site, supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, CHAS, BICSc, DBS-checked staff and COSHH-compliant products. Service is available 24/7, and enquiries receive a response within 2 hours. If the building or its operating pattern changes, the specification can be reviewed with the person responsible for the premises. The next step is a free site survey, followed by a clear monthly plan with no long-term contract. It also keeps responsibility in one operating relationship: the site has a named team, a written specification and a clear route to adjust the service when occupancy, rooms or access arrangements change.
