Machine hard-floor cleaning

Planned machine care for commercial hard floors where the everyday mop is not enough for the required presentation and upkeep.

The commercial brief

Cleaning that fits the building.

Hard floors carry the movement of a commercial building. Entrances, corridors, reception routes, kitchens and operational spaces collect traffic, marks and residue that a routine mop cannot always address. CQD assesses the surface, use and access before adding machine work to the specification. The aim is controlled, repeatable floor care that supports the daily clean and fits the way the building operates.

The service can cover suitable hard floors in offices, retail units, schools, medical premises, hospitality venues, gyms, event spaces and operational buildings. CQD agrees which surfaces are appropriate, how furniture or equipment is handled, which areas need protection and when the machine can be used safely. The routine may sit alongside vacuuming, mopping, surface work, bin emptying and washroom care. The same team follows the agreed sequence so floor care is not disconnected from the rest of the building’s specification.

A floor is often the largest visible surface in a commercial premise. Dull entrances, tracked marks or neglected edges can make a well-run building feel less cared for, while poorly planned machine work can disrupt staff, visitors or operations. Facilities managers need the right frequency for the surface and traffic, not an indiscriminate treatment. CQD provides clear scope, trained team ownership and supervisor oversight so the result can be considered alongside the wider cleaning standard.

Machine hard-floor cleaning is part of the Silver and Gold subscription levels, with the final frequency set after the site assessment. Bronze provides the daily essentials; Silver adds machine hard-floor cleaning, deeper kitchen and breakroom care and daily touch-point sanitisation; Gold adds daily machine floor cleaning, washroom consumables fulfilment and regular inspection and sign-off. An initial deep clean is included at commencement. There are no long-term contracts or TUPE requirement, with 24/7 availability and mobilisation within 5–7 working days.

CQD mobilises within 5–7 working days once the specification is agreed. The same dedicated two-person team becomes familiar with the site, supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, CHAS, BICSc, DBS-checked staff and COSHH-compliant products. Service is available 24/7, and enquiries receive a response within 2 hours. If the building or its operating pattern changes, the specification can be reviewed with the person responsible for the premises. The next step is a free site survey, followed by a clear monthly plan with no long-term contract. It also keeps responsibility in one operating relationship: the site has a named team, a written specification and a clear route to adjust the service when occupancy, rooms or access arrangements change.
